La quatrième édition de l’école d’été « Connecting your IoT devices » s’est déroulée du 10 juin au 1er juillet. Une semaine avec des conférences en ligne et deux semaines en présentiel à l’Enssat.
Une édition menée à bien grâce aux soutiens de nos partenaires : le Lions Club, la fondation Université Rennes, la DARI (direction des affaires et relations internationales) et Lannion-Trégor Communauté, par le biais de leur accompagnement financier.
Cette année, nous avons accueilli 12 étudiants provenant de multiples destinations : Australie, Inde, Allemagne, Italie, Norvège, Roumanie. Ils ont été accueillis par le bureau des relations internationales de l’École : Claire Le Page et Fabienne Rodionoff, ainsi qu’un moniteur d’accueil Martin Virely élève-ingénieur en informatique de 2e année.
La majeure partie des enseignements est technologique, avec un projet sur les objets connectés supervisé par les professeurs Olivier Berder (IUT Lannion), Antoine Courtay (Enssat) et l’ingénieur de recherche Mickael le Gentil (Irisa). Le professeur Luigi Atzori de l’université de Cagliari les a rejoint en donnant une conférence en ligne. Philippe Quémerais, ingénieur Enssat a participé pour le module d’éco-conception.
L’école d’été se déroule également en partenariat avec l’entreprise « Eco-compteur » de Lannion qui a reçu les étudiants lors d’une visite. Pascal Fifre et son collègue Matthieu Pelingre ont aussi assisté à la présentation finale. Les étudiants ont aussi apprécié les cours d’initiation au français par Carine Hutton d’English Connect et les modules de communication interculturelle animés par Claire Le Page.
Les étudiants sont repartis ravis et reconnaissants d’avoir pu bénéficier d’une telle expérience. Ils ont aussi beaucoup apprécié d’avoir découvert notre belle région.
The fourth edition of the "Connecting your IoT devices" summer school ran from 10 June to 1 July. A week of online conferences and two weeks of face-to-face sessions at ENSSAT.
This year's event was made possible thanks to the support of our partners, the Lions Club, the Rennes University Foundation and LTC, who provided us with financial support.
We welcomed 12 students from a wide range of destinations: Australia, India, Germany, Italy, Norway and Romania. They were welcomed by the school's international relations office: Ms Claire Le Page and Ms Rodionoff, as well as a welcome monitor, Martin Virely, a 2nd year IT student.
Most of the teaching is technological, with a project on connected objects supervised by professors Olivier Berder, Antoine Courtay and Mickael le Gentil. The summer school combines teaching with sporting and cultural activities. Highlights include an introduction to kayaking at the Port Blanc water sports centre with Bertrand Lefebvre, a day at Mont St Michel and an introduction to Breton culture. (Including pancakes and dancing).
