Summer school. 3rd edition under the sun and full of eclecticism

English below. La troisième édition de l’école d’été s’est déroulée du 12 juin au 4 juillet : la première semaine était dédiée à des conférences en ligne et les deux autres semaines en présentiel à l'Enssat.

Cette année, nous avons accueilli 14 étudiants provenant de multiples destinations aussi bien d’Europe que d’Amérique du sud : Allemagne, Italie, République tchèque, Roumanie, Colombie. Ils ont été accompagnés par la monitrice d’accueil Claire Vanoni, élève-ingénieure Enssat en informatique.

La majeure partie des enseignements était technologique avec un projet sur les objets connectés, supervisé par Olivier Berder, Matthieu Gautier (professeurs à l'IUT Lannion) et Mickael le Gentil. Le professeur Luigi Atzori et Lucia Pintor de l’université de Cagliari les ont rejoints en donnant une conférence en ligne. Philippe Quémerais a participé avec un module d’éco-conception.

Ce projet est en lien avec l’entreprise Éco-Compteur de Lannion qui a reçu les étudiants lors d’une visite. Pascal Fifre et son collègue Matthieu Pelingre ont assisté à la présentation finale.

Les étudiants ont aussi apprécié les cours d’initiation au français proposés par Nathalie Caradec et les modules de communication interculturelle animés par Zdenek Janik de l’université de Masaryk et Claire Le Page.

L’école d’été allie aussi bien l’enseignement que des activités sportives et culturelles. Les temps forts : une initiation au kayak au centre nautique de Port-Blanc avec la participation de Bertrand Lefebvre, une journée au Mont Saint-Michel et la découverte de la culture bretonne (crêpes et danse au programme).

Les étudiants sont repartis ravis et reconnaissants d’avoir pu bénéficier d’une telle expérience. Ce projet est soutenu par nos partenaires : le Lions club, la fondation Rennes 1 et Lannion-Trégor Communauté.

The third edition of the summer school took place from 12 June to 4 July: one week with online conferences and two weeks face-to-face at ENSSAT.

This year, we welcomed 14 students from all over Europe and South America: Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Romania and Colombia. Claire Vanoni, a computer science student, accompanied them.

Most of the teaching was technological, with a project on connected objects supervised by Olivier Berder, Matthieu Gautier and Mickael le Gentil. They were joined by Professor Luigi Atzori and Lucia Pintor from the University of Cagliari, who gave an online lecture. Philippe Quémerais took part with an eco-design module.

    

This project is linked to the Eco-compteur company in Lannion, which hosted a visit by the students. Pascal Fifre and his colleague Matthieu Pelingre attended the final presentation.

The students also enjoyed the French courses run by Nathalie Caradec and the intercultural communication modules run by Zdeněk Janik from Masaryk University and Claire Le Page.

The summer school combines teaching with sporting and cultural activities. Highlights include an introduction to kayaking at the Port Blanc water sports centre with Bertrand Lefebvre, a day at Mont St Michel and an introduction to Breton culture (including pancakes and dancing).

The students left delighted and grateful from such an experience. This project is supported by our partners: the Lions Club, the Rennes 1 Foundation and Lannion-Trégor Communauté.
